Ferran Torres has had his say on the stories linking Antoine Griezmann with a move to the Etihad this summer. With financial turmoil engulfing Barcelona, the Catalan club are reportedly eager to sell Griezmann with reports claiming Manchester City could target the French World Cup winner this summer. Speaking to Spanish outlet Marca, City’s young attacker Ferran Torres gave his verdict on the forward with a potential move for Griezmann on the cards.
Ferran Torres said: “He’s a great player. Obviously, he’s at Barça; let’s see what can happen. I don’t know if [Pep] Guardiola has spoken to him. City are one of the best teams in the world, and they want to have the best players to win everything. If he comes, fine; if not, we’ll keep working.”
Manchester City are understood to be keen on recruiting a forward this summer following the departure of Sergio Aguero. The club has also been linked with a sensational move for Harry Kane, with reports suggesting a major £100m bid has been made by the Eastlands outfit.
