Amanda Staveley has suggested that Newcastle United’s would-be owners are prepared to “invest heavily” into the rebuilding the club’s Academy and on the recruitment front if the Premier League finally approve their bid to buy the club.
Amanda Staveley said: I know that we will take our time. We don’t expect. We will be inheriting a club, and we need to make the right decisions with the right people. What I do know is we are going to invest heavily into, not only players but the Academy, the grounds, the infrastructure and the surrounding areas.”
Yohan Cabaye on Newcastle Debut
Yohan Cabaye said: “It came naturally to me to fight. I did a lot of work in the summer before I arrived at Newcastle: to be stronger, to be physically fitter and work on my body shape but that was in me. I was a fighter. It was in mentality to fight for everything. My mentality was suited to the Premier League and to Newcastle, I think. I felt at home from the first minute I arrived in the city. It was a beautiful experience and talking to you, I’m smiling about it. For me, everything about Newcastle felt perfect when I signed.”
