Tottenham fans noticed Denmark star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg smiling when his compatriot Kasper Schmeichel was quizzed on England captain Harry Kane. Hojbjerg joined Spurs from Southampton last summer for a fee in the region of £15million in what turned out to be a huge bargain for the North Londoners. Ahead of the crucial clash, Hojbjerg was joined by international teammate Kasper Schmeichel at a press conference and Spurs supporters noticed him laughing when Schmeichel was quizzed on England captain Harry Kane.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg said: “Behind closed doors, he is very professional. He is good at what he does. He is very dedicated and he is just an incredible football player. For me, Harry is the best player in his position so it’s an honour to play with him every day. I am sure with the defence that we have it’s going to be tough for him.”
