Adrian Bernabe has confirmed he will leave Manchester City this summer following the expiration of his contract. Bernabe joined City in the summer of 2018 on a free transfer after coming through the ranks at Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy. The creative-midfielder was highly rated at the club and made his debut shortly after arriving as a late substitute in a 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Oxford United. With his contract expired, Bernade has now decided to pursue his career elsewhere and penned an emotional goodbye message to the club.
Adrian Bernabe said: “It’s time to put an end to one of the most beautiful stages I’ve had the chance to live. Manchester has been home to me for the last three years and I will always be grateful for everything you have given me as a person and as a footballer. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me in this path. Especially my teammates which I have learnt a lot from, and all the employees that have helped and guided me in the best possible way. Thank you all. I’ll be a Citizen forever.”
