Paul Mcgrath was set to return to Old Trafford for the top of the table clash that weekend and insisted that it was the match that would decide who would win the premier league. He was eager to ensure that his former side does not break their 26-year-old wait to break the title duck.
Paul Mcgrath said “This is the championship decider. Everybody will be building the game up. But we are just looking at it as just another match. We’ve beaten them twice this season and will be looking to repeat that on Sunday. United are favourites with the bookmakers but that suits us.”
Mcgrath had a very sour ending with United after Alex Ferguson revealed in his book that Mcgrath had issues with drug addictions on which the Aston Villa player threatened to take the Scot to the courts.
