Daniel James has warned his Manchester United teammates not to get complacent ahead of the Europa League final.
Daniel James said: “We can take total confidence. We beat some great teams in this competition. Milan was a very tough game that we got through, and all the other games as well. I know Real Sociedad and Granada are similar positions to Villarreal but it comes down to one leg, it doesn’t matter where anyone is in the league. It’s a final and anyone can win on the day, we’ve just got to make sure we’re ready for it, we’re prepared and we turn up on the day.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side play Villarreal in Gdansk on Wednesday in the final of the competition and United are heavy favourites to clinch silverware, with the Norwegian looking to win the first trophy of his tenure at the club to perfectly round off the season. However, while it seems likely the Welshman won’t start in Poland, James has sent his teammates a warning ahead of the final.
