Ryan Sessegnon’s time in Germany came to a close with 69 minutes at left-back and an assist in the 2-1 victory against Hertha. That left Hoffenheim 11th in the final Bundesliga table. The 20-year-old made 29 appearances for the German side, getting plenty of experience at both left-back and wing-back during this campaign.
Ryan Sessegnon said: “Great way to end the season with a win and an assist. I want to take this time to say a big thank you to Hoffenheim for bringing me to Germany to experience a different league and culture and putting me in a situation that has challenged me in many ways as a player and as a person. From the people at the top of the club to the coaches, players and backroom staff it has truly been a pleasure to represent this football club. Only thing was missing was playing in front of the TSG fans which was unfortunate. I wish the club all the best for the future and hopefully I cross paths with many of those who are connected with the club in the near future. Thank you.”
