Carlo Ancelotti has no interest in keeping unhappy players at Everton – including Moise Kean. And the Everton boss has, once again, thrown down the gauntlet to PSG to table a suitable offer for the Italy international. Asked if he would be prepared to keep Kean, even if the striker was unhappy, Ancelotti replied: “No, no, absolutely not.

Carlo Ancelotti  said “If he wants to stay at Paris Saint Germain the only way is to find a deal with Paris Saint Germain. I don’t want to have players here who are unhappy and if there are some players that are not happy to stay here, they can ask to leave and there is no problem at all. I want to have players that are happy and want to stay at Everton and feel part of this project.”

Richarlison’s future has been the source of much speculation since Ancelotti arrived at the club and, in March, the Blues boss moved to end any doubt over the Brazilian.

Carlo Ancelotti  said “I don’t know how long his contract is, honestly, but Richarlison he will stay here as long as I stay, this is for sure.”

Yet Ancelotti has today said any unhappy player can leave the club this summer and he “recently” passed on this message to his squad.

Carlo Ancelotti  said “All of the players [who are unhappy]. There is no player I can force to stay here. But I told them. If someone is not happy to stay here they have to leave because we need, as I said, players that wants to be part of this project. An unhappy player is not going to be a good part in this project.” It is not a new thought, I am used to saying to the players if you are not comfortable here or not happy, you have to discuss with the club and we find a solution. But if you stay here, you have to be happy, for sure.”

Kean posted a message on social media earlier this week which strongly hinted at his desire to return to Paris Saint Germain next season. The 21-year-old striker has spent the season on loan with the French giants and impressed with 16 goals in 39 appearances. PSG have made no secret of their hopes of keeping Kean and on Monday the young forward said: “Hope to see you next season” in a message thanking the club. Kean still has three years left to run on the contract he signed in 2019 but Ancelotti has made it clear that he does not want to keep unhappy players at Goodison.
