Brendan Rodgers believes Alisson Becker’s last-minute winner for Liverpool against West Brom brings no ramifications for his Leicester City side.
Brendon Rodgers said: “There’s no ramifications for us. We have to control what we do and we have it in our hands. We’ve got European football but we have two games to arrive in the top four. We can only control what we have ourselves. Big Sam will be disappointed because they defended well. We have a great opportunity to qualify and we intend to take it. When you are a club that wants to win, you know sometimes you will fall short. They are in the Champions League final for a reason. They’ve got an excellent squad. We have to work hard and be equally aggressive and see if we can make our chances count.”
All eyes are now on rematch of Saturday’s FA Cup final – which Leicester won 1-0 – as the Foxes travel to Stamford Bridge. But Rodgers simply sent a warning of Leicester’s resolve to Chelsea instead of focusing on the importance of Alisson’s goal.
