The subject of Leeds United’s loanees came up in Marcelo Bielsa’s Monday morning press conference as those on loan at EFL sides returned to Thorp Arch following the conclusions of the season. The likes of Robbie Gotts, Jordan Stevens, Ryan Edmondson and Alfie McCalmont all had stints in Leagues One and Two this term, with Bielsa addressing their next steps.
Marcelo Bielsa said: “I’ve followed all of the performances of each of them. And I’m conscious of the evolution that they’ve had and how I can imagine the immediate future for them. Those types of evaluations or decisions are taken not only after their season have finished but after Leeds United’s season has finished.”
These comments came shortly after a report from the Western Daily Press, which claim that third-tier Cheltenham Town are interested in a move for McCalmont, who netted eight goals in his season-long spell at Oldham Athletic.
