Former England striker Peter Crouch has revealed what Patrick Bamford has told him about Leeds United’s intense training sessions. Marcelo Bielsa’s side have shone in the long-awaited return to the Premier League, comfortably achieving survival and going toe-to-toe with the league’s elite clubs.
Peter Crouch said: “I spent time with Patrick Bamford recently and he was telling me how intense training was, how intense the manager is with what he expects. He puts his demands on the team and you can see it with the way they play. They have such energy, such freedom going forward and they concede goals because of that but they score so many and they take the game to every team they play.”
Leeds enter the tie against Burnley on the back of a thrilling victory over Tottenham last time out, which provides a solid platform to build upon heading into the final week of the season. Leeds will certainly be looking to go out on a high in front of their supporters and will want to shine again next term.
