Tyrick Mitchell has signed a new deal with Crystal Palace that will keep him at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2025, as the club enters a busy period of negotiations with a number of first team players. Mitchell has become an important member of the Palace first team this season after stepping up to the plate in 2020 when Patrick van Aanholt suffered a dislocated shoulder against Manchester United during Project Restart at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Tyrick Mitchell said: “I’m delighted. It’s a great place to be and an exciting time so I’m delighted to sign a contract. I can see, especially with the academy building now and academy players coming through, it’s a great time.”
The new contract for the young left-back is the second announcement in two days following the news of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi’s first professional deal with the club on Monday afternoon, and there could be more to come in the near future.
