Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says that Edinson Cavani is back in training ahead of the club’s clash against Crystal Palace on Wednesday – but Paul Pogba will not be making the trip to South London.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Edi has trained this morning and hopefully there is no reaction. There are another couple of knocks that we have to look at, from after the [Chelsea] game, and from the season’s wear and tear. We’ve had a light training session and we’re looking ok. A couple of doubts for tomorrow, Edinson trained which is good. Let’s hope there’s no reaction and hopefully he’ll travel with the squad.”
However, Solskjaer has admitted that he will be without Phil Jones and Paul Pogba for the match against Roy Hodgson’s side.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added: “With Phil, he’s working really hard, he’s had a couple of setbacks and it’s the kind of injury where you have to be patient,\. I know all about knee injuries, so I’m not sure… how long is a piece of rope? We’ll give him as much time as we can. Paul is not ready for us, no. Feeling better but he has not been training with the team yet, so he’s definitely not travelling down to London.”
