Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta appears to have dropped a team selection hint ahead of facing Leicester City. Bukayo Saka had inspired the Gunners to victory over Benfica, weighing in with two assists for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. But Arteta has hinted the 19-year-old may be rested against City, as he has played more minutes than any other outfield player for Arsenal this season.
Mikel Arteta said: “He’s really fatigued. He’s played a lot of minutes. He hasn’t had much rest,” We asked him to go again and produce these moments and the boy’s done it against a really difficult formation, the way they were so deep with the really small spaces, but he’s found a way to do it again. There is every chance” Saka will not start tomorrow afternoon.
And some fans have called for Gabriel Martinelli to get a rare runout in the first XI if he is rested.
