Callum Wilson has offered a positive injury update – but insists he won’t rush his return to action for Newcastle United. The former Bournemouth and Coventry City striker recently posted an encouraging video on social media of his recovery.
Callum Wilson said “It’s going well. I’m taking my time without rushing things and putting myself at risk. But I’m also working extremely hard to make sure I’m back, and I stay back once I’m fit again. When I heard Newcastle was interested, you know they have such a good fanbase and playing at St James’ Park when it’s full is probably one of the best grounds in the country. That was a massive selling point for myself. Unfortunately I’ve not got to experience that, but I’m sure sooner than later we will get fans back in some capacity soon.”
