Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident Shola Shoretire will still be in and around the Manchester United first team by the time fans are back in stadiums.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Shola has got some skills, he’s going to make a very good player here. “It’s a platform tonight, just 15 minutes but it’s something to remember for him at Old Trafford. Maybe he would’ve enjoyed it more with fans because they give you so much energy. But I’m sure all the fans will see him soon.”
Speaking after the match fellow academy graduate Axel Tuanzebe gave his verdict on the current batch of youngsters and praised the talent at the club.
Axel Tuanzebe said: “This is Man United. All players who play for us are talented and the manager always has options. The personalities that United bring through are determined players and that shows when we get the chance to play.”
The 17-year-old forward became the youngest player ever to represent United in a European competition when he came on against Real Sociedad on Thursday night. Solskjaer believes Shoretire will have plenty of opportunities to play in front of United supporters down the line.
