Andy Robertson included a former Manchester United striker when choosing his ultimate five-a-side team. Set the task by Jamie Carragher as part of the latest episode of The Greatest Game podcast, the Liverpool left back couldn’t help but include someone with a history attached to one of his current club’s biggest rivals. For the most part, Robertson keeps a strong Liverpool connection in his selection opting for two of his teammates with Alisson Becker in goal, as he is “so good with his feet” as well as an outstanding shot-stopper, and Virgil van Dijk, who Robertson joked “needs some game time”. Andy Robertson’s five-a-side team in full: Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Steven Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish, Henrik Larsson.
Andy Robertson said “Because he’s (Alisson’s) good with his feet and could probably have him outfield but I’d have Ali in goal. I think you need to watch the video of all the Barcelona players parading him (Henrick Larsson) round the pitch. He’s one of the greatest players of all time. I put my dad’s hero in there but I also put my hero in there because I loved to watch him and what he did for Celtic was incredible.”
