On Saturday evening, Marcus Rashford will head to West Ham for their Manchester United showdown, but the striker remains an injury doubt.

During the 3-1 loss to PSG in the Champions League in midweek, Rashford suffered a shoulder problem, going straight down the Old Trafford tunnel after being substituted by Paul Pogba with 15 minutes of the game to play.

For the last few days, the Reds striker has been back in camp, but he has not engaged in full workouts at their Carrington training centre with his teammates.

Luke Shaw who plays the role of left-back in the Ole’s eleven hasn’t yet recovered from the hamstring injury and is not yet ready to play Saturday’s encounter. At the pre-match press conference held on Friday afternoon, United head coach Ole Gunnar Solsjaer gave an update on the fitness of his squad.

For the first time in nine months, Solskjaer’s side will head to a stadium where they will play in front of supporters, not that any Man United fans will be at London Stadium on Saturday.

Ole said, “Marcus has been training this morning. Not fully but he’s joined in with the group. Obviously, his shoulder stopped him finishing the game, so he’s been getting treatment and hopefully he’ll be part of the squad that travels, he’s having treatment after training. Luke’s not ready yet, apart from that we had a big squad training again. We’re a bit bruised after Wednesday night but hopefully we’ll be ready to go again tomorrow. It’ll be great playing in front of fans. We’re looking forward to it. Of course, we won’t have our fans there but we will just have to use the energy and thrive off the home fans and make them quiet, hopefully. That we make them edgy, we’re looking forward to it. It’s great to see fans back in a stadium, of course we want them back at Old Trafford as well and hopefully we’ll get that soon. Football has not been the same.”
