As debate rages over the scheduling of Premier League games, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers said he and his side knew what was coming and won’t be moaning. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has expressed his concerns over the kick-off times of his team’s fixtures, and was involved in a heated exchange with BT Sport reporter Des Kelly over the scheduling following James Milner’s injury in the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday. However, even with the busiest month of the season on the horizon and having already suffered several injuries in his squad, Rodgers will get on with the job at hand.
Brendan Rodgers said “It’ll be no different in that period really, in terms of lots of games, You have to be ready every day. You have to recover well. We were going to have to adapt with European football. We’re enjoying the European experience and then knowing we’ve got to come back and be right on it physically and mentally. The players up to this point have shown they’re coping with that. You’ve got to retain that humility, just because you’ve qualified for Europe, your next game can’t be anything less than 100 per cent.”
