Bernardo Silva has recalled the time Ederson and Gabriel Jesus chased him around the Manchester City training ground. The incident happened in 2017, when City were preparing to face Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. After a training game took place off camera, Jesus can be seen chasing down Bernardo, with Ederson joining in. The goalkeeper quickly outpaces his teammate and drags him to the ground with a huge smile across his face. Bernardo said Ederson was one of the players that helped him first settle in after moving to the club.
Bernardo Silva said “I start running away from Gabi but then Ederson joins and I’m done., They’re good friends of mine. I actually played with Ederson at Benfica when we were younger. He’s one year older than me but we still trained together a few times. When I joined, he was one of the guys that helped me here at the club. Gabi as well is a huge friend of mine. We do what we love, we enjoy it every day, I’ve made really good friends here at Man City so to come to training every day, have fun with them and make those kinds of jokes, it’s nice. Yaya is a really nice guy, I had the pleasure of playing with him for one season. He’s a great guy and one of the best players in the history of the club, I think. A legend. I didn’t get to play with him whilst he was at his top, top level and a beast, because I remember the first years when he arrived at Man City and a Barcelona before that, he was a beast. He’s a funny guy.”
