Liverpool will be without Joel Matip, Naby Keita and Thiago Alcantara for Tuesday’s visit from FC Midtjylland in the Champions League. All three players sat out Saturday’s 2-1 win against Sheffield United at Anfield and won’t feature when the Reds entertain the Danes in their Group B clash. Summer signing Thiago has been out since picking up an injury from a tackle by Richarlison in the 2-2 draw with Everton earlier this month. Asked about the chances of all three players featuring at Anfield, Klopp provided an update on their injuries.
Jurgen Klopp said “I don’t think so. It is still what I said last week, we take it day by day but it still looks like they will need a few more days, so for tomorrow night, they will probably not be ready.”
