Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been discussing his decision to stay at Arsenal.
Maitland-Niles has made 106 career appearances in all competitions for Arsenal. The England international was linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium before the transfer window shut earlier this month with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Premier League rivals Manchester United both linked. Brighton and Hove Albion have also been credited with an interest in the 23 year-old, who has made two starts in the Premier League so far this season. Maitland-Niles has revealed how talks with Arteta convinced him to remain in North London beyond the ending of the transfer window. The 23 year-old was in and out of Arsenal’s starting XI under Unai Emery and then Arteta last season but has began the season in fine form and handed an England debut for his hard work.
