It was a busy 2020 summer transfer window for Chelsea. Seven arrived to bolster the first-team squad, and once again a number have been allowed to leave on loan including the likes of Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek who have joined Aston Villa and Fulham respectively. Thiago Silva said: “I am so happy to be joining Chelsea. I am delighted to be a part of Frank Lampard’s exciting squad for next season and I’m here to challenge for honours. See you soon Chelsea fans, I look forward to playing at Stamford Bridge very soon.”
Kai Havertz said: “I am very happy and proud to be here. For me, it is a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea and I can’t wait to meet all the players and the trainers. Yeah, I am very happy to be here!”
Edouard Mendy said: “I am so excited to be joining Chelsea. It’s a dream for me to be a part of this exciting squad and to work with Frank Lampard and all of his coaching staff. I look forward to meeting my team-mates and can’t wait to get started.”
