Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves has brought six senior players to the club this summer – and have just three days left before the window for international deals closes. The Wolves boss says he is not anticipating any more additions – but admits ‘we’re still in the process’. So far Matija Sarkic, Fabio Silva, Marcal, Ki-Jana Hoever, Nelson Semedo and Vitinha have all arrived at Molineux, while Diogo Jota and Matt Doherty are the most notable departures.
Nuno Espirito Santo said “As long as the transfer window is open, you have to know anything can happen. We need to react and we know on the last day things move, but we’re not anticipating anything, but always knowing anything can happen. I am happy with what we’ve done. We’ve been able to react well and we’ve been able to bring players in that we think can bring us different things. At the same time, we’re still in the process. It’s not finished. When it’s finished, then we can do a proper analysis. I’ll be glad when it’s finished. I think all the managers have been asking when the start the competition that the transfer window can be closed. Due to the pandemic everything has changed, so it’s not good for all the managers.”
