Jadon Sancho
Everton has been encouraged to consider signing Jadon Sancho, who is now a free agent after his contract with Manchester United expired. The former West Midlands player, who made 38 appearances and scored once last season, is seen as a potential bargain for David Moyes’ side. Former Manchester United and England player Wes Brown has suggested that Sancho could be a worthwhile addition to the Everton squad.
Wes Brown said: “When he went back to Borussia Dortmund on loan it looked like he was getting it back together but he fell off again but listen he’s still only 26 and you wish him all the best and hope he’s good in his own mind and body because it’s a tough situation. Some players handle it better than others. Being a free agent makes it a little bit easier, but you still have to go out there and prove yourself. Teams aren’t necessarily phoning your agent every day, every second but if Jack Grealish gets another chance at Manchester City, why not Everton for Jadon Sancho? I’m not saying they’re similar players but the way they take the ball and carry it you could arguably say that Sancho could be the one for Everton if a permanent move for Grealish doesn’t happen, but it’s a gamble. He’s certainly an option this summer.”
Sancho’s recent performances have been inconsistent, but his age and potential make him an attractive prospect for clubs looking to strengthen their squad without incurring significant transfer fees. His time at Borussia Dortmund on loan showed glimpses of his capabilities, but he struggled to maintain that form consistently. As a free agent, Sancho offers a low-risk, high-reward opportunity for clubs willing to invest in his talent and potential.
Everton, under the guidance of David Moyes, could benefit from Sancho’s skill set, especially if they are unable to secure a permanent deal for Jack Grealish. While Sancho’s signing would be a gamble, it could also be a strategic move to enhance the team’s attacking options. With the summer transfer window open, Everton has the chance to assess Sancho’s fit within their squad, considering both his past performance and future potential.
