Everton Football Club is set to elevate Hill Dickinson Stadium’s role as a premier venue by introducing live music events in 2027. This initiative is part of the club’s broader strategy to establish the stadium as a year-round destination for sports, dining, and entertainment. The club’s waterfront home is being positioned as one of the UK’s most dynamic venues, capable of hosting a variety of events beyond matchdays.
Aaron Duckmanton, Everton’s chief revenue officer, said: “This summer is a really exciting moment for Hill Dickinson Stadium and for the city. This stadium was always designed to deliver world-class experiences for supporters, visitors, partners and event organisers. It works brilliantly for football, but also gives us the flexibility to host alternative sport, entertainment, dining and premium experiences across the year.”
The stadium’s design facilitates a range of events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale events with a capacity of up to 53,000. Its unique features, such as steeply raked stands, expansive Budweiser Plaza, and a stunning waterfront setting, make it an ideal location for diverse experiences. The club’s vision for Hill Dickinson Stadium extends beyond football, aiming to host a variety of events that draw visitors year-round.
The upcoming events at Hill Dickinson Stadium include a Magic Weekend for Rugby League, an international rugby union fixture featuring Fiji against England, and an interactive golf experience. These events highlight the stadium’s versatility and its ability to attract different audiences. The Magic Weekend, in particular, has already seen record-breaking ticket sales, indicating strong interest from Rugby League fans.
Additionally, Everton has planned a special Event Guide to assist England fans attending the World Cup fixtures at the stadium. The venue will also host a celebration recognizing women who have contributed to the growth of women’s football. The club’s restaurant, Domingo’s, will offer themed dining experiences, paying homage to Everton’s roots.
Aaron Duckmanton added: “The programme already confirmed for this summer shows the scale of what is possible at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but our ambition does not stop there. We are already working on plans for summer 2027 and 2028 including live music events, as we continue to build a calendar that makes full use of the stadium, the waterfront setting and the spaces around it.”
The club’s efforts to diversify its offerings at Hill Dickinson Stadium align with its goal to become a leading venue for major events in the UK. By expanding its calendar to include live music and other entertainment options, Everton aims to attract a wider audience and enhance the stadium’s reputation as a premier destination.
