Midfielder Ben Osborn is determined to rediscover that spirit as Sheffield United aim to finally get their current season up and running. The blades relished their tag as underdogs last season. he Blades finished ninth on their return to the top flight and picked up plenty of scalps along the way. Three defeats have led to some question marks being asked of Chris Wilder’s side. Many cynics may suggest a lack of cutting edge but Osborn believes he and his colleagues are just not getting the rub of the green. But he insists their showing in the most recent outing against Leeds was much-improved – and that he is not overly concerned despite firing three blanks for the first time in the club’s history.
Ben Osborn said “We got into good positions lots of times, But it’s a cruel league. I think as long as we get that end product nailed on then we’ll be fine. We shot ourselves in the foot the first two games. We didn’t do that against Leeds. We just need to be a little bit more clinical, We’ll come in and back at it again in training. The lads are all pushing and there’s competition all over the park. We’ll be looking forward to going to Arsenal and look to build on what we did against them last season.”
