James Hill
Bournemouth defender James Hill has set his sights on ending the season on a high note, with the possibility of European qualification serving as a significant motivator. As the team prepares for their final two matches against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest, Hill stresses the importance of focusing on their performance to achieve their goals.
James Hill said: “Obviously, any type of Europe is fantastic. But we have to focus on ourselves. The more points we get, the best opportunity we’ve got of receiving something really nice at the end of the season. But we just got to focus on ourselves and at the end of the season, leave with no regrets and we’ve left it out all on the pitch and we’ve done everything we possibly could. But if we take some type of Europe this season, it’d be absolutely incredible. But we’ve just got to focus on that next game. And just keep pushing. Three points is the only thing that we’re thinking about going into that next game. So yeah, we just need to keep pushing and keep believing.”
Hill’s comments highlight the team’s determination to secure a spot in European competitions, which would be a remarkable achievement for Bournemouth. With a strong mentality and belief in their capabilities, the squad is prepared to give their all in the remaining fixtures. Hill also acknowledges the support of the fans, which has been a driving force behind the team’s performances.
James Hill said: “I think we don’t worry too much about if games aren’t going our favour in the first half because we know how well we can finish off games and start games. Like, I think in previous games, we’ve gone full games, just full tilt and haven’t stopped. For example, Crystal Palace was from minute one to the end. I thought the fans were absolutely incredible [vs Fulham] to keep us going.”
Bournemouth’s upcoming match against Manchester City is crucial, as it presents an opportunity to gain valuable points against a formidable opponent. The team’s resilience and ability to maintain focus throughout the game will be key factors in determining their success. As they prepare for the final stretch of the season, Hill’s emphasis on leaving the pitch with no regrets serves as a rallying call for both players and supporters alike.
