Tottenham Hotspur’s head coach Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he must add a striker to his squad before the transfer window closes next week. After opting not to start Harry Kane against Chelsea on Tuesday evening, the Portuguese chief fielded a front two of Steven Bergwijn and Lamela, highlighting his need for a striker more than ever. Spurs have had a really difficult and packed start to the season as they have been playing three matches a week since the beginning of the season.
Jose Mourinho said “Nobody. We don’t have a nine. Sonny is injured and Harry has a big game to play Thursday, We have to protect him. In this moment we don’t have. We are a different club than others. We have to do it in different ways. Today we don’t have that number nine.”
