Jurgen Klopp believes there is much more to come from Liverpool after they overcame a “tricky” start to the season by laying down a Premier League title marker. The Reds extended their 100% start to the season by coming from behind to beat Arsenal 3-1 at Anfield on Monday night. And while expressing his delight at the display which moves his side level with Leicester City and Everton at the top of the early Premier League table, Klopp believes Liverpool can show more consistency.

Jurgen Klopp said “I liked the game tonight, When I saw the schedule before the start of the season I thought it was tricky. It was always clear since ages that Chelsea would be really strong. Arsenal won the FA Cup, the last English competition, and have been flying since then and beat us in the Community Shield. Leeds, of all 19 teams we wouldn’t have been in the top 10 I would have wanted to play first game. It was difficult but we did it. We don’t make statements, to be honest. In a press conference from time to time I have to do it as you ask me questions. Apart from that, we just play football and want to win the games. We have to become consistent. So far we have played quite well, but that’s all. It was a really good game, I loved pretty much each second. I didn’t like the goal we conceded but I liked the reaction immediately afterwards a lot. Against a top team in form, playing like we did tonight, it was really something to be honest. We were dominant, played good football, we were difficult to defend, counter-press was top, attitude great, we played some really good stuff. Arsenal didn’t have many but had some chances because they have real quality. Most of their moments they had were offside, so good defending. But Ali made a save anyway. It was a really good performance.”
