Jimmy Sinclair
Nottingham Forest has announced that versatile defender Jimmy Sinclair has signed a one-year contract extension, with the club holding an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months. This new deal, reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano to run until 2028, marks a significant milestone for the 19-year-old, who made his senior debut for the Reds earlier this season.
Jimmy Sinclair said: “I’m really proud to be signing this new deal, it’s a great moment for my family and me. I’ve worked hard to achieve this and I’m very grateful to the club for the support and guidance they have shown me over the years. I grew up supporting Forest and I’ve had some incredible experiences this season that have given me extra hunger to make the next step. I’ll continue to push myself to make as much of an impact as I can and continue improving.”
Chris McGuane said: “We are delighted Jimmy has agreed to continue his development with the club. Jimmy has earned this new deal, and we are all excited to see his development continue, both on and off the pitch.”
Despite not featuring in the first team since his debut against Malmo, Sinclair has remained a prominent figure within the squad. He has been training regularly with senior players and has been included among the substitutes for other European fixtures, such as the recent 1-0 victory over Porto at the City Ground. Since joining Nottingham Forest in 2021 at the age of 15, Sinclair has been an integral part of the B team, participating in all but one of the Reds’ PL2 matches and playing a crucial role in their Premier League International campaign. Notably, he scored in a 2-0 win over PSG with Warren Joyce’s side.
Sinclair’s commitment to the club and his determination to improve have been evident throughout his journey. As he continues to develop his skills, the young defender is poised to make a significant impact both on and off the pitch for Nottingham Forest.
