Cristhian Mosquera
Since joining Arsenal from Valencia last August, Spanish central defender Mosquera has made a significant impact at the Emirates Stadium. His confidence in the team’s ability to win trophies this season is palpable as Arsenal continues to perform strongly in both the Premier League and Champions League.
Cristhian Mosquera said: “In recent years, Arsenal hasn’t quite achieved what it set out to do, but I think we’re ready this year. We know we have the chance to win titles. We’re going to do everything we can to bring joy to the fans. In the Champions League, I think we’re doing pretty well this year, we’re in the quarter-finals now, and hopefully we can go further and win it.”
Mosquera attributes part of his successful integration into the team to learning from two of the best centre-backs in world football, Saliba and Gabriel. Their mentorship has been invaluable during his debut season at Arsenal.
Cristhian Mosquera said: “I’m very grateful to them. They are two of the best centre-backs in the world, and it’s a pleasure and a privilege to train with them and watch them play every weekend.”
Mosquera’s impressive form has not gone unnoticed on the international stage, as he recently made his senior Spain debut in a 3-0 friendly win over Serbia. Despite Colombia’s interest in his services, Mosquera is hopeful of securing a spot with La Roja for the upcoming World Cup.
Cristhian Mosquera concluded: “What I’m going through is crazy, so I’ve got to make the most of it.”
Arsenal fans have every reason to be optimistic, with the team excelling under Mikel Arteta’s guidance. The Gunners are not only making strides in the Premier League and Champions League but are also in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals. As the season progresses, Arsenal aims to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of major trophies, with Mosquera playing a pivotal role in their campaign.
