Hannibal Mejbri
Hannibal, the promising midfielder for Burnley and Tunisia, has vowed to make a swift recovery after suffering a hamstring injury. The setback comes at a critical time with the World Cup just three months away, leaving both club and country in a state of concern. The injury occurred during Burnley’s recent match at Craven Cottage, where Hannibal was forced to leave the pitch early, visibly upset by the untimely blow.
Scott Parker explained: “It seems like he’s tweaked his hamstring, which again wasn’t ideal really to make that early change. But he started the game so well, Hannibal. However long he was on, 10 or 15 minutes, I thought he was so bright, so it was disappointing. Hannibal suffers a first half injury and is forced off. Hopefully it’s not too bad, but at this present moment in time it looks like a bit of a hamstring injury.”
Scott Parker added: “When asked if he expects Hannibal to travel for Tunisia’s games against Haiti and Canada, Parker added: ‘I wouldn’t have thought so. We’ll assess it now, or the medical staff are assessing it now, so we’ll see where that is.'”
Hannibal, determined to return to action, took to social media to express his commitment to recovery. Despite the setback, he remains optimistic and supportive of his teams. His absence could be a significant blow to both Burnley and Tunisia, as his dynamic presence in midfield has been pivotal. The medical team is currently evaluating the extent of the injury, and further updates are expected soon. As the World Cup looms, Hannibal’s recovery timeline will be crucial for his participation in the global tournament.
