Fulham manager Marco Silva is optimistic about continuing Fulham’s impressive record against Brighton & Hove Albion as they prepare to face off this Saturday. Despite a challenging opponent, Silva remains hopeful that his team can maintain their strong form at Craven Cottage, where they have already secured six Premier League victories this season.
Marco Silva said: “Difficult game, good side, well managed, a lot of individual quality solutions. Always throughout the game, they are able to change three, four players in their attack line – that shows the quality, the depth that they have in their squad. They are very dangerous, they have the ability to be more direct in certain moments, but at the same time they are able to build well their attacking moments. It’s going to be a good game, I believe. Both teams normally approach the game to win. Normally, there are goals when we face each other. It’s going to be another tough one. We have been achieving good results against them, our record is good because we have been doing the right things, and let’s hope tomorrow we can do the right things again.”
Silva continued: “Playing at home, the fans are going to play their part. They have been doing great and helping the team to be strong enough at home to get good results. We hope the same thing will happen again, and that our stadium will be really bouncing, to push the team forward, to make things difficult for the opposition. And we have to do our part as well to boost them and to make them to believe the way we are going to perform is going to be enough to win a difficult match.”
Fulham has historically fared well against Brighton, with a 98th-minute penalty from Joao Pedro last year marking their only defeat in 11 Premier League encounters with the Seagulls. This track record gives Fulham confidence as they approach the upcoming match. Silva recognizes Brighton’s tactical flexibility and depth, which allows them to adapt and pose various challenges during the game. However, he believes that Fulham’s home advantage and the support of their fans can play a crucial role in securing a positive result.
The match promises to be an engaging contest, with both teams known for their attacking intent. Silva’s emphasis on maintaining the right approach and leveraging the home crowd’s energy reflects his strategic mindset as Fulham aims to extend their winning run at Craven Cottage.
