Milos Kerkez
Milos Kerkez, the promising full-back, has been reflecting on his journey since joining his new club, highlighting both his growth and the challenges he faces. Despite being chosen over by Andy Robertson for a starting position in Liverpool’s recent Champions League victory against Atletico Madrid, Kerkez remains optimistic and committed to improving his game.
Milos Kerkez said: “I feel like I’ve settled in well, match after match I’m adapting better to the circumstances and my teammates. I’m grateful to the coach for believing in me and giving me so many playing minutes. I’d like to repay the trust, I’ll try to continue to improve.”
Kerkez continued: “Every game is extremely difficult in the Premier League, but of course playing against a championship contender is especially so. Every weekend I meet excellent wingers, but you always have to be ready, you can’t be afraid of the challenge.”
He added: “I get to play for one of the best clubs in the world, if not the best, which I’m proud of. I want to do everything for this badge, I always feel that when I pull it on.”
Kerkez’s journey has been marked by significant achievements, including his inclusion in the 2025 PFA Team of the Year. His consistent performances last season, where he featured in every league fixture for Bournemouth, showcased his potential to become a top left-back. His contributions of two goals and six assists were pivotal, but Kerkez emphasizes his defensive improvements as his most notable progress.
Kerkez stated: “I know everyone talks about goals and assists, but I think I’ve made the most progress in being able to stay focused for 95 minutes. I’m much more conscious defensively, that’s where I’ve made the most progress, I think.”
Kerkez’s dedication to his craft and his club is evident in his reflections. While he acknowledges the challenges of the Premier League, particularly against formidable opponents like Arsenal and players such as Noni Madueke, his focus remains on continual improvement and contributing to his team’s success.
