Adrien Truffert
Adrien Truffert, the French left-back, has officially joined AFC Bournemouth from Rennes, marking the beginning of his Premier League journey. Arriving in Dorset this week, Truffert is set to commence pre-season preparations with his new team. Interestingly, the 23-year-old shares a personal connection with the town, as he took his first steps on the Dorset coast, a milestone his father fondly recalls.
Adrien Truffert said: “This is what he said! We lived for one year in England but I was young, I was maybe two years old, so I don’t remember. To be honest I’m very happy to be here. For me it’s a very good opportunity to make my start in the Premier League at this club, so I’m very excited and very happy to be here.”
Truffert’s experience in Ligue 1, where he made 150 appearances, is expected to be a valuable asset as he transitions to the Premier League. His enthusiasm for the new challenge is palpable, and he is eager to make his debut at the Vitality Stadium in front of Bournemouth’s fans.
Adrien Truffert said: “It will be my first time in the Premier League, but I played a lot of games in Ligue 1, in the French championship. I think it’s important to have experience to be good in the Premier League so we will see how it is going to happen. I am very excited to be honest. I will see when I will make my start, but it was one of my dreams. So that is why I am very excited to make my start at the Vitality Stadium in front of the fans, very excited.”
Truffert’s decision to join Bournemouth was made at the start of the transfer window in June. He emphasized the importance of family support throughout his career, noting their presence at his matches in Rennes and their continued support as he embarks on this new chapter.
Adrien Truffert said: “For me that’s why I make this choice. It’s very important to have my family with me. Since the beginning they were here. When I played with Rennes, they were every week there. I’m someone who will like to run a lot, to try to do everything for the team. Every game I will play at maybe 2,000 per cent. I will try to do my best, to be at my best level and I am sure that we are going to do very good things together.”
Truffert’s commitment to giving his all for the team is evident in his determination to perform at his best. His arrival at AFC Bournemouth is anticipated to bring a fresh dynamic to the squad, with fans eagerly awaiting his debut performance.
