Premier League referee Brian Hill blamed three top football coaches for his demotion from premier league matches. Hill felt that brushes with Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson, Howard Wilkinson of Leeds and Graeme Souness of Liverpool may have cost him the coveted green shirt worn by the premier league officials. “I have been happy with my performances. I don’t know why I have been dropped but I can only think its something to do with having run-ins with high profile managers like those at Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester United.” Said Hill. The referee was demoted to football league for the whole of January 1993.
