Nuno Espirito Santo plans to dip into the transfer market to flush the late lapses out of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ system. A loss of concentration at the death in Duisburg allowed Lucas Ocampos to send Sevilla through to the Europa League semi-finals at Wolves’ expense. And Nuno, who has largely worked with the same group of players over the past two seasons, plans to use Fosun’s finances to add quality this summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo said “With a lot of running and some fatigue, it’s hard to keep concentration, It happened today and it happened before in some games in the Premier League. It’s something we have to look at and try to avoid. After such hard work it hurts even more. It’s an easy solution to have. Now it’s my work to look at it and make it better. For example, now it’s time to reflect and analyse. If you look at the team that started the game, it’s the same, like the first season. We made mistakes that we cannot repeat. We need players that can make us stronger, no doubt about it. We operate on common sense and dialogue. This is what we’re going to do now. Let’s look at what we need. The club has been amazing. We started in Championship, the first season was hard, the second season, and we’re all together in this. It’s about making good decisions which can help us and stop us making mistakes.”
