Van Nistelrooy discussed the physical advantage his Leicester City team might have over Brighton due to their more extended rest period.
Van Nistelrooy said, “Theoretically, there is a physical advantage. But Brighton have a wide squad and have the possibility to rest players and keep their quality. But we do have a slight physical advantage. It’s about preparing and performing. We know the programme but to be at our best, we just need to think about Sunday. We play some big teams in the short term. But we’ll focus on each game at a time.”
Van Nistelrooy addressed the injury concerns and the recovery status of some of his Leicester City players.
Van Nistelrooy said, “No. The squad from Tuesday was available today to train. There’s tomorrow’s session. Odsonne is back on the pitch, so that’s an addition to Tuesday’s squad. Harry was outside with the physios, training separately.”
