Pep Guardiola spoke about the need for Manchester City to have more players contributing by scoring goals to help reverse the team’s current form after a 4-0 defeat against Spurs.
Pep Guardiola said “Maybe yes. But it is not creativity, the chances are there like for example at Brighton but it is what it is unfortunately. Of course we want a lot of players to score but it’s happened now.”
Pep Guardiola continued discussing Manchester City’s issues regarding their inability to capitalize on goalscoring opportunities after the loss to Spurs. He highlighted the team’s struggle to convert chances and maintain their usual defensive strength.
Pep Guardiola said “I think we had the chances, clear clear ones at 0-0, 0-1, and 0-2 – we were there – and at the Etihad when we score goals the momentum is there but at the moment we are not solid enough. That is the truth. Normally we are solid not conceding goals and now it is on both sides we are not good enough.”
