Arne Slot gives update on Trent Alexander-Arnold Liverpool injury after win against Aston Villa

Arne Slot spoke about Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury after the player was forced to leave the field during Liverpool’s match against Aston Villa:

Arne Slot said “But it is always a serious injury if a player goes out in the first half. Not because I didn’t like him but he asked [to be substituted] himself. He asked for it because he felt something.”

Arne Slot also shared his doubts regarding Alexander-Arnold’s participation with the England team for the upcoming Nations League fixtures:

Arne Slot said “So that is first of all not a good sign. It is always difficult so close after the game to tell you exactly what it is but let’s wait and see. I would be surprised if we will see him playing for the England national team this week but hopefully he can.”
