Michael Obafemi hopes that Southampton can capitalise on their excellent run of results by adding another home win against Brighton on Thursday. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side went four games without defeat after the striker’s last-minute equaliser at Old Trafford at the start of this week.
Michael Obafemi said “I mean obviously our home form hasn’t been the best but we’re trying to rectify that. As you saw against City at our ground, we defended amazingly. Che (Adams) got his first goal, which was amazing for him so, as you can see, the team is looking good. We want to win as many games as possible, to get as many points in the last three games and finish as high as we can. As you can see in our last results, the boys have been put in an amazing performance and got amazing results. That’s the main thing and that’s our aim. I mean, he’s [Hasenhuttl] just making sure that in training we practice our pressing, making sure we get it right in the games and it’s paying off. You can see it in the matches. You can see that we’re pressing in the right way and everyone looks fit.”
