Former Liverpool striker Danny Ings has insisted there are clear similarities between Jurgen Klopp and Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl. The ex-Burnley striker moved to the South Coast from Anfield in 2019 after an initial season-long loan. This season, Ings has been in sensational form, scoring 18 Premier League goals and registering two assists, prompting talk of a potential England call-up.
Danny Ings said “I can see the same amount of passion in wanting to win. Even when we do win it’s all about how we need to be better. He has a real determination to work with us and improve us and that’s great. Yeah I am extremely happy (getting over injuries). It did take a long time. I read something saying I was out for 500 days and that’s a long time. But I never lost focus and I kept believing in myself.”
