Is Southampton and Arsenal, clash of manager’s at the brink of sack ?
[hr]
The St Mary’s side play Arsenal in their first game back after the international break. Southampton have slided to a sixth league defeat in seven games. Southampton and Arsenal both fell to defeats at the weekend. Arsenal have won just two of their previous 10 Premier League games. So is this the game which determines which manager will be sacked first ?
Saints hierarchy are not keen to make a change after years of high managerial turnover. They feel Hasenhuttl is the right man for the job – as proved by last season’s impressive salvage operation following Mark Hughes’ exit. The club do recognize the Austrian needs support however and a dip into the transfer market expected in January. Saints currently lack quality all over the pitch but a right-back, more creativity in midfield and another striker to help out Danny Ings could be prioritized. Also, they’ll play Watford, Norwich, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa after Arsenal.
As for Arsenal, their board is wary of becoming ‘another Manchester United’ by sacking Unai Emery without a clear plan in place. United’s high-profile sackings have come without a clear successor in mind and Solskjaer was only given the position after impressing as caretaker manager. The club insist they will not fire Emery during the international break and head of football Raul Sanllehi has publicly backed his manager. ‘We are as disappointed as everyone else with both our results and performances at this stage of the season,’ said Sanllehi.

Premier League Museum Editor Notes: Both Southampton and Arsenal have courted with other manager’s but are afraid to pull the trigger yet to be considered as panic clubs. Both clubs are worried of their manager’s inability to draw out performances from their squads. We believe a heavy defeat for Southampton or a loss accompanied by another insipid performance which leads Arsenal to further slide may lead to the sack. However, a realistic scenario is waiting until the holiday fixtures in December’s . This is period when matches come thick and fast and fate of clubs final positions get determined. If we learn from history, December may be a period when both clubs finally may evaluate and decide whether enough is enough.

How is Everton planning to turnaround their performance ?
[hr]
Everton got their first away victory of the season on Saturday and it could give Marco Silva’s side some much needed confidence ahead of a difficult run of fixtures. Everton have a tricky run of games after the international break, facing all of the top three sides in the space of two weeks. So how are they planning to turnaround their performance ?
To begin with , Blues finally started playing a system that is making their players look a lot more solid in their positions – 4-3-3 type system. With half his midfield out injured and the ongoing problems scoring goals, Silva moved towards this. Then he started playing Alex Iwobi between midfield and attack it was almost at times like a three in the middle. In subsequent match, Marco Silva brought Tom Davies in, putting Richarlison up front and Iwobi playing as a much more mobile No 10 able to drop back into midfield, making a three. And then against Southampton, Silva used Davies along with combination of Fabian Delph, Morgan Schniederlin, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Iwobi.

Premier League Museum Editor Notes: Ironically Marco Silva seemed to persist constantly with two in the middle and a three behind the centre-forward, even though he preferred 4-3-3. It is injuries and poor form which has forced him to play his preferred system. The next match against Norwich City at Goodison Par may become a good test on whether Everton have solidified their formation before the fixtures that determine Everton’s season and Marco Silva’s future with them.

Why Liverpool can invite Roma board to their title party ?
[hr]
Liverpool have Roma to thank as title challenge with Man City takes big step forward. There are many reasons and one reward could be Roma invited to their title party when the title is won.
Amongst the many transfers that were done by Klopp in last few years, Roma first provided £34.3million Egyptian king Mohamed Salah in 2017. 80 goals and 121 games later, that must now go down as one of the best bits of business ever conducted by the Reds. Next was the world record £65million signing which made Alisson the most expensive goalkeeper on the planet. With a shiny Champions League medal on show at the end of his first season, the Brazilian has already gone a fair way to repaying it.

Premier League Museum Editor Notes: This relationship may look a bit one sided when we disclose that their was a player Roma wanted to buy from Liverpool for their club’s improvement but Liverpool refused to sell.. The significance of a deal that was not done between the two clubs back in August cannot be overlooked. Lovren began the campaign as fourth choice centre-back, with Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip the main men plus Joe Gomez pushing for a starting place. But when the 30-year-old has been called upon in recent weeks, he has consistently delivered. Lovren has played six games across three competitions and Liverpool have won every single match in which he was involved.
