Chris Wilder could be without two of his key men ahead of a crucial match against Spurs. Midfielder John Lundstram and defender Jack O’Connell are both doubts for the match at Bramall Lane, potentially leaving the Blades boss without two of this season’s ever-presents. Lundstram was withdrawn in the FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Arsenal whereas O’Connell is still short of match fitness. After a great campaign, the Blades have struggled for performances since the restart of the season and what looked like a season where they had an outside chance of making it to the Champions League now looks like a campaign where they may not even qualify for the Europa League.
Chris Wilder said “Looking back at it, it looked like an awkward fall, so I imagine he will be touch-and-go for Thursday night, We are all dependent on the results of the scan. Every day goes by so we have got a decision, every day that goes by is a better day for the club for Jack to be involved in a game, His attitude is spot on and he will be doing everything he possibly can in his power to make that happen as soon as possible. We just have to make that right decision for the medium and long term with these types of injuries as well.”
