Everton and Brazil star Richarlison has made a bold Virgil van Dijk claim ahead of this weekend’s clash with Liverpool. The two sides will meet at Goodison Park on Sunday in a match which was meant to take place three months ago. And Richarlison is feeling confident he can add to his Premier League goals tally – which already stands at 10 – as top-flight action returns to Merseyside.
Richarlison said: “People talk a lot about him, yes he is a great defender but I’ve already dribbled past him. He was chosen as one of the top three in the world as he had an excellent season. But yes, for me there are better defenders.”
Liverpool had the chance to seal the title at Goodison had Manchester City lost their match against Arsenal but now the Reds will have to at least wait one more week to secure their first title in 30 years.
