Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has said that his side’s clash against Nottingham Forest is the most important game in their season following FA Cup semi-final heartbreak against Manchester United. A win could also move Forest out of the relegation zone, depending on other results. The Reds are currently in 19th place, but are just one point behind both Everton and Leicester City, although their goal difference is worse than both of those sides. Ahead of the game at the City Ground, De Zerbi has called on his team to show the same performance against Forest as they did against United.

Roberto De Zerbi said: “We are still disappointed for the result. We played a fantastic game. We gave our best and we lost the game. We have to be stronger, we have to play tomorrow with the same passion, with the same attitude, with the same quality because we have another nine games, very important for us. We can change the history of the club, we can change the history of ourselves and we have a big, big, big motivation to achieve it. To accept better the last result, we have a big opportunity to achieve the target in the Premier League. I think tomorrow is the most important game in our season. We have to restart in our way, in our style. And winning tomorrow for us is a great result.”

Brighton currently sit in eighth place in the Premier League table, just one point behind Liverpool in seventh, although they do have two games in hand over their rivals. The Seagulls came out as 2-1 winners over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their last Premier League outing.
