Head coach Julen Lopetegui has warned Wolves against complacency in their survival battle. Back-to-back victories against Chelsea and Brentford have left them 13th and seven points clear of the Premier League’s bottom three. Wolves go to Leicester City on Saturday with the hosts second bottom, having lost eight of their last nine league games, and Lopetegui is aware of what they must do to maintain the gap to the drop zone.

Julen lopetegui said: “We are not safe yet, we have to work very hard to achieve our top points. We have to put the focus in the work we have to do and not the work we have done. This is football and it demands a lot of focus. We have seven finals in front of us. The first is against Leicester, we know the kind of match we are going to find there and we have to be ready. We are in the middle of the battle and we have to continue.”

Ruben Neves and Jonny are available after bans as Wolves look for a third straight league win for the first time this season. Sasa Kalajdzic (knee) is out while Diego Costa, who scored his first Wolves goal in the 2-0 win over Brentford, suffered a knee knock in the game and was being assessed this week. Boubacar Traore has been regaining match fitness and could feature in the squad with Lopetegui urging his side to keep their momentum.

Julen Lopetegui said: “There is no space to relax, we are fighting. You only achieve your aims when you’ve achieved them – not before, It’s very clear to me. We are fighting very hard to have this possibility and we have to go there with our strength and spirit knowing we respect them a lot. There are plenty of top players there, we know we are going to fight.”
