Wimbledon manager Joe Kinnear repeated his call for John Fashanu to be paired with Arsenal’s Ian Wright for England’s crucial world cup qualifying match a month later. Fashanu had been in a tremendous form that season after having a nightmare1992-93 season where he started 27 games and scored only 8 goals for Dons.
Joe Kinnear said “I think Fash and Wright would frighten most people. Fash would give England some extra options because he’s so good in the air as he showed with our second eqauliser against Villa.”
