West Ham United star Declan Rice has claimed that he is “not bothered” about the other teams in the relegation battle, as Leeds United remained just one point behind the Hammers following their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.  After the full-time whistle blew, Rice was asked about his side’s part in the ongoing relegation battle. The 24-year-old admitted that he is not looking at the results of the clubs around them and is simply trying to focus on getting his side back to winning ways.

Declan Rice said: “There’s six or seven teams in and around us. Obviously I see the results but I’m not really too worried about how other teams are doing because we’re the only ones that can change ourselves where we are. I’m not too bothered about them, I’m only bothered about us and doing what we can week-in, week-out. Now we know we’ve got a big one next week against [Nottingham] Forest.”

Moyes was also asked about West Ham’s struggles this season and the Scot called upon his squad to show their “fight” in the final 15 games of the season as he insisted that he was simply focusing on how his own team were performing and the rest of the clubs around them.

David Moyes said: “Our results. Not their results, our results, we keep going. We’ve been feeling a bit better about our performances, and even today, I know there’ll be a lot of things saying it wasn’t good – which I’ll agree with – but there were bits of it to build on and hope that we take it in. It’s a challenge, let’s see who’s up for the fight.”
